Dunmore Lang presiding. Henry and Margaret had four children. Margaret died ‘On Sunday last [19 May 1833], at Spring Grove, Bong Bong, Mrs. Henry Badgery, aged 28.’2Sydney Herald (NSW : 1831-1842), Thursday 23 May 1833, p 3.

Henry next married Mary Ann Reilly (1814-1898) ‘On Saturday last [August 1834] by the Rev. R. Hill, Henry Badgery, Esq. of Spring Grove, Sutton Forest, [married] to Mary Ann, eldest daughter of Mr Reilly of Pitt Street.’3Sydney Times (NSW : 1834-1838), Friday 15 August 1834, p 2. Their grandson Andrew Delfosse Badgery II (1888-1965) was an Australian pioneering aviator. In 1852 the Goulburn Herald7Goulburn Herald and County of Argyle Advertiser (NSW : 1848-1859), Saturday 8 May 1852, p 4. wrote ‘Mr. Andrew Badgery, has procured a license for the Inn now occupied by Mr. P. Goulding,[The Doncaster] who on the 1st of July next retires from the bar practice. In November 1880 the Sydney Morning Herald9Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842-1954), Wednesday 24 November 1880, p 7. reported ‘Mr. Henry Badgery, senior, J.P., of Vine Lodge, Sutton Forest, died at 4 p.m. on November 18, [1880] after an illness of several weeks’ duration. Mr. Badgery was seventy-seven years of age, and was a native of the colony, having been born at Richmond in 1803, on the property of his father, who was one of the first free capitalists who arrived in New South Wales. … Fifty-nine years ago the deceased gentleman settled at Sutton Forest, where he obtained by grant and purchase a valuable estate of about ten thousand acres of rich land ; and there he continued till the outbreak of the gold discovery, when for a time he went to the gold-fields in the Braidwood district, but soon returned to Sutton Forest..’10Badgery, Henry (1803-1880)’, Obituaries Australia, National Centre of Biography, Australian National University, https://oa.anu.edu.au/obituary/badgery-henry-1528/text1536, accessed 23 February 2024.
