This index of New South Wales publicans’ licences was created by NSW State Records and contains around 20000 entries covering the period 1830-1861.  Held at the State Library of NSW.

Further information has been gathered from the New South Wales Government Gazette (Sydney, NSW : 1832 – 1900), which published listings of Publican licenses awarded, and any details published in the Newspapers of the time.
