  • Cottage of Content –  1860, 1 year, Favourite Flat, Mudmelong. Mr and Mrs Carney and family, of the Cottage of Content, house and property were all swept away by the flood of 1860.

  • Currency Lad – 4 Years, 1860 – 1864 ,Crown Flat, Lower Araluen. Greenwood, William

  • Free Selection Inn -14 Years ,1863 – 1878, Bourketown. Hogan, John McDonald; Hogan, Mary Ann.
  • Golden Point Hotel – 6 Years, 1862 – 1868, Bourketown. Sewell, William; D’arch, John.
  • Great Eastern, or maybe Great Southern – Newtown. Newspaper reports suggest early on in the gold rush in 1850’s – One, more enterprising than the rest, placarded the streets with a notice which read: ‘Marvelous Attraction! The proprietor of the Great Eastern Hotel, Newtown, resolved on keeping in advance of his brethren in the trade has specially selected in Sydney regardless of wages and expense, six attractive young barmaids.
