A Coroner’s Inquest2Goulburn Herald and Chronicle (NSW : 1864-1881), Wednesday 25 December 1867, p 2 was held at Araluen on December 1867, at Mr Michael Downey’s, Lamb Inn, before Dr Pattison, Coroner, and a jury of 5, regarding the death of a miner named Aaron Anson. The jury brought in a verdict that ‘the deceased met with his death accidentally from being crushed by a horse and dray falling upon him‘.
